8 Lunch Spots to Check Out Downtown

photo 1 Today I'm talking about places to go on lunch if you work downtown. Its always nice to get out of the office and walk around if you can, so I've compiled a list of places to check out for your next lunch meeting or just to get out of the office for a little bit.

Code Blu Juice Bar - now at Canalside and offering salads as well as juice - tables are set-up over the bridge to sit and enjoy people watching to grab and go if you're in a time crunch.

Liberty Hound - a great place to take in the views while enjoying some great plates

Clinton's Dish - the stand has come along way offering wraps, sandwiches and salads and ice cream. Its a great spot to go.

Roux - Soup Bar & Café inside the Buffalo News Building (5th Floor) - offers soup and sandwiches and is a great place to go for a quick meal.

pearl street

Pearl Street is always a good spot to go - especially if its nice out - the patio is a great spot for a work meeting or a lunch date with friends.

Vasilis on Main St. is always a great place to go as well - offering a wide array of food options.

The Archer is a great place to hold a lunch meeting for work.

Fables Café inside the Buffalo Erie County Library offers soup, sandwiches and salads. Enjoy a bite to eat and grab a book to read.

It’s been an eventful week compared to the last few. As I’m beginning to prep for my 30th birthday in a few short weeks, I’ve been consumed with so many ideas that this weekend is going to be about narrowing down what I really want and then putting the plan into action. Part of the weekend is also going to be me looking for an adventure or a new place to visit. It’s been a while since I’ve traveled and as much as I love Buffalo, everyone needs a little break now and then. Have a good weekend!

A majority of people from Buffalo, I'd like to say, are some type of sports fan- whether it be football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, or basketball. With the Buffalo Bills not having a great season, you can bet when the announcement was made earlier this week that hockey was back, us fans in Buffalo were estatic! Finally, something to look forward to during the rest of this winter season. But really, if you think about it, its more than us just watching or attending the games that we should be happy about. Having the season back brings life back into downtown Buffalo. Local bars, restaurants, and hotels felt the burden from not having the full hockey season. Now that both parties have negotiated, lets look forward to hearing RJ (Rick Jeanneret) call the games, and cheer on our Buffalo Sabres. Go Sabres!
