At the BallPark
/Nothing beats a nice summer day, like a day at the ballpark. Mascot races, friends, sunshine, hotdogs and your baseball mitt. Going to a Buffalo Bisons Baseball game is probably one of the best things you can do this summer, tickets are cheap and its a fun time out.

Saturday Mornings
/On Saturday mornings throughout the Summer the Elmwood Bidwell Farmer's Market is packed with a variety of vendors selling salsa, vegetables, fruit, wine, craft-beers, flowers and more. It's by far one of my favorite farmer's markets in the area. The only thing I would like to see more of is a variety of different fruits. Every vendor who was selling fruit was only selling strawberries, I would have liked a few more options, but overall its still a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Sweet Potato Chips
/The other day I came across this recipe for Sweet Potato chips, while its very similar to Sweet Potato Fries I thought I would give it a try.
1. Grab a sweet potato, thinly slice the potato.
2. In a heated frying pan with canola oil or you can substitute with a cooking spray, add the potato slices
3. Fry each side for two to three minutes
4. Serve in a bowl, top with salt and honey if you'd like.
Try and make for an upcoming party. Easy and Delicious.

Lewiston, NY is one of the most beautiful places in the Western New York area. While I don't get to visit there as much as I would like to, it was nice to meet a friend and catch up by the water. With the nice weather I am looking forward to more visits up there this summer.

Bases MERLOTed
/This past weekend, I, along with a handful of my friends and family attended the Bases Merloted event at Coca-Cola field. Proceeds from this fun and memorable wine tasting event go to Shakespeare in the Park. What could be better then sipping a variety of different wine, spending an evening with people you care about most, being a part of a sword fight and getting to walk on the baseball field? This year, in addition to the wine tasting, a farmers market was added making it a nice overall event that is just getting bigger and bigger. Cheers!

Bloodline Handmade Launch Party
/Last week I was given the opportunity to attend the Launch Party for a custom made men's tailoring company that has come to Western New York, Bloodline Handmade.
Taking place in the elegant and sleek Lexus Club at the First Niagara Center, politicians, assemblymen and community supporters were in attendance.
Bloodline Handmade is made up of the team- Jason Blood, Adam March and Dan Valentine all of whom believe in Buffalo and are bringing change to WNY and taking men's clothing to a whole new level.
The words grace and style in Buffalo were mentioned in speeches. Keeping the manufacturing local and offering reasonable prices targeting men of all ages and professions, Bloodline Handmade is providing an opportunity for men to have custom, handmade garments made to their specifications all while creating a one of a kind piece.
Bloodline Handmade is just getting started -already having a large client base through word of mouth, they are now partnering with J. Norman Men's Shop located in the Tony Walker Plaza. One things for sure, these talented men are turning heads in Buffalo.

Lets get ready to Run
/
Nothing is better than taking a run to clear your head and take in some fresh air. This past weekend instead of going to a park or the gym, I went back to my high school's track, man how time flies. While I haven't moved away its still been years since I've been on the school grounds. It was nice to see improvements that have been made and to think about the memories of when I was younger.
I'd love to know, where are some of your favorite places to run in Western New York?
-B
Oh and good luck to all those participating in the Corporate Challenge today!
Giving Back
/
Have you ever given back to something that is close to your heart? Whether its been a children's charity, health services, education, equal rights or something to help better the environment. How did you feel when you gave back? I am an advocate for pitching in and doing "your" part to make the area you live in a better place. Volunteering is one of the most important and rewarding things in my life. We all live busy lives, but the joy and the gift you get back for doing good is priceless. As we head into the summer months I challenge everyone to do some good in the neighborhood they live in. Whether it is making a monetary donation or taking an hour or two out of your day to help someone else, the reward you get in the end is a great gift of knowing you helped do your part.
